Rev. Dawson Lane is an Ordained Elder in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, having previously served at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church as their Associate Pastor, and having worked at Hayes Barton UMC in Raleigh, Robbinsville UMC in Robbinsville, and Christ UMC in Chapel Hill.
Dawson is a lifelong Tar Heel fan, having attended UNC-Chapel Hill from 2016 to 2020, ultimately graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology. Originally intending to go on to medical school, Dawson ultimately felt the call of the Holy Spirit in a different direction, leading him to enroll at Duke Divinity School in the fall of 2020. Dawson graduated from Duke in 2023 with a concentration in Preaching.
Dawson married the love of his life and childhood sweetheart, Liz, in 2022, and now they live with their pet cat, Pippin, in Raleigh, NC. Outside of his work in ministry, Dawson is an avid reader, board game collector, and big fan of the UNC Tar Heels and Carolina Hurricanes!
Director of Youth and Children's Ministry
Kathy directs our children and youth ministries. She loves seeing our children grow in their love of Jesus and our youth grow in discipleship. She enjoys being outside at the beach, the pool or hiking with her family and their dog Daisy.
Church Administrator/Financial Secretary
Jil is likely the first person you will meet in our office and the voice you will hear over the phone. She schedules all church activities, sends out our official communications and serves as our financial secretary. Yes, she loves details! Jil enjoys Yoga/Thai Chi exercising, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.

Adam Capps
Contemporary Worship Praise Team Leader
Adam coordinates the music and leads the Praise Team for the church's blended worship service. Adam enjoys working with the band students at Holly Grove Middle School, teaching private music lessons, playing music with friends and spending time with family. In addition, Adam is a big UNC fan and enjoys watching games with friends and family. Go Heels!

Sound/AV coordinator
George coordinates the sound and AV ministry. In addition, George helps with the church IT needs. He enjoys flying drones and photography in his free time, as well as learning and experimenting with new and emerging technologies.
